Bangladesh cricket team’s pacer Al-Amin Hossain has been accused of torturing his wife. This time Al-Amin’s wife Israt Jahan has arranged a human chain in front of the Bangladesh Cricket Board – BCB, seeking justice. At 12 noon on Sunday, his wife and family members stood in a protest demanding the punishment of this cricketer.
She said to the media, “I demand justice from the Prime Minister through you. As a mother, where will I go with my two children? I want help from her. May she give a fair trial.”
Al-Amin’s wife asked BCB for help and said, “Please help me. I am now at his house with the help of the police. But he is not paying me any expenses. My family is caring for me.”
Israt also said, “For two years, my children are not getting attention from their father. I want my children to have a father. My children should grow up with their parents.”
Earlier, she filed a case with the police for physically and mentally torturing her for a dowry of Tk 20 lakh. However, Al-Amin is absconding since the case was filed. A police team raided his flat after a case was registered on September 2. But Al-Amin escaped before the police reached there.
In this regard, the SI of Mirpur Model Police Station said that the operation is continuing to arrest this cricketer. It should be noted that the BCB has complained of a breach of discipline against this cricketer on several occasions. Even during the 2015 World Cup, he was sent to Bangladesh from the World Cup due to a disciplinary issue.
