West Indies have won by a narrow margin of 3 runs against Bangladesh In the 23rd match of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. After losing the toss and batting first, the Caribbeans scored 142 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Nicholas Pooran top-scored with 40 runs off 22 balls for the West Indies, hitting 1 four and 4 sixes. Roston Chase scored 39 runs and Jason Holder remained unbeaten on 15 off 5 balls. Shoriful Islam, Mahedi Hasan, and Mustafizur Rahman took the maximum number of 2 wickets each for the Tigers.

Chasing the challenging target of 143 runs, Bangladesh came under pressure from the very beginning due to the bowling cannon of the Caribbean bowlers. Although Liton Das and Mahmudullah tried to keep the team on the way to victory, the Tigers were knocked out of the match due to a lack of good partnership as wickets tumbled regularly. 13 runs were needed to win the last over. But Mahmudullah and Afif Hossain could not take more than 9 runs. As a result, Bangladesh lost 5 wickets and stopped the innings at 139 runs.

ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 – Match 24 (Afghanistan vs Pakistan)

In the day’s second match, Pakistan clinched a great victory of 5 wickets with 6 balls to spare against Afghanistan at the Dubai International Stadium. Afghanistan won the toss and elected to bat first, and they lost 6 wickets in 20 overs to score 147 runs.

Mohammad Nabi and Gulbadin Naib played two unbeaten innings of 35 runs for Afghanistan. Besides, Najibullah Zadran scored 22 runs, and Karim Janat scored 15 runs. Imad Wasim took the highest number of 2 wickets for Pakistan. Besides, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Shadab Khan, and Hasan Ali took one wicket each.

Chasing the target of 148 runs, Pakistan lost 5 wickets and reached the victory port in 19.0 overs. Captain Babar Azam scored the best, making 51 runs from 47 balls for the team.
