West Indies and Sri Lanka are facing each other in the second and final Test of the series from Sunday 29 March at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua. After losing the toss & batting first in this series-determining match, the Caribbean batsmen fell into some danger after losing 2 wickets to score 15 runs. Then, captain Craig Brathwaite and Kyle Meyers teamed up for the third wicket. Sri Lankan fast bowler Vishwa Fernando broke their 71-run partnership by sending off Mayers (49) to the dressing room. Jermaine Blackwood (18), Jason Holder (30), Joshua da Silva (1), and Alzarri Joseph (29) lost their wickets one by one and returned to the dressing room, but Craig Brathwaite remained on the wicket.

The batsman picked up the 21st half-century of his Test career facing 116 balls. Then for the eighth wicket, his 65-run partnership with spinner Rahkeem Cornwall brought the Caribbeans back into the match. The hosts finished the first day’s game with Craig Brathwaite (99*) and Rahkeem Cornwall (43*) on the wicket, putting up 287 runs on the board for the loss of 7 wickets. Suranga Lakmal (3-71, 20 overs) was the highest wicket-taker for the Lankans on the day.
