Afif Hossain played the highest innings of 44 runs from 37 balls for the Challengers. Besides, Will Jacks scored 28 and Naeem Islam scored 25 runs. For the Tigers, Thisara Perera took a maximum of 3 wickets for 18 runs in 4 overs.

BPL 2022 – Match 10 (Sylhet Sunrisers vs Minister Group Dhaka)
In Friday’s 2nd match of the doubleheader of BPL 2022, Minister Group Dhaka got a huge victory of 9 wickets against Sylhet Sunrisers courtesy of Tamim Iqbal’s great century at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. After losing the toss, Sunrisers batted first and scored 175 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs thanks to Lendl Simmons’ century.
For the Sunrisers, Lendl Simmons played a great inning of 116 off 65 balls with 14 fours and 5 sixes. Besides, Anamul Haque scored 18 and Mosaddek Hossain scored 13 runs. Qais Ahmed, Mashrafe Mortaza, Ebadot Hossain, and Andre Russell took one wicket for the Minister Group.
After chasing a challenging target of 176 runs, the Minister Group reached the port of victory with 18 balls left in the innings and losing only one wicket. Opener Tamim Iqbal played the most unbeaten innings of 111 runs off 64 balls with 17 fours and 4 sixes. In addition, Mohammad Shahzad played a stormy inning of 53 off 39 balls. PSL 2022 – Match 2 (Quetta Gladiators vs Peshawar Zalmi)
In the second match of PSL 2022, Peshawar Zalmi took a breathtaking 5-wicket win with two balls to spare against Quetta Gladiators at the National Stadium in Karachi. After losing the toss, the Gladiators lost 4 wickets in 20 overs and scored a big 190 runs.
Will Smeed played a devastating 97-run innings off 62 balls with eleven fours and four sixes for the Gladiators. Ahsan Ali also played a stormy inning of 73 runs from 46 balls. Usman Qadir and Sameen Gul took a maximum of 2 wickets each for the Zalmi.
Chasing the big target of 191 runs, Zalmi lost 5 wickets and reached the victory port in 19.4 overs. Hussain Talat played a stormy inning of 52 runs off 29 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. BBL 2021/22 – Final (Perth Scorchers vs Sydney Sixers)
The Perth Scorchers have won the title by defeating the Sydney Sixers by a considerable margin of 79 runs in the final of BBL 2021/22 at the Marvel Stadium in Docklands on Friday. Coming down to chase a challenging total of 172 runs, The Sixers were bowled out for just 92 runs.
After losing the toss and batting first, the Scorchers lost 6 wickets in 20 overs and scored 171 runs. The Scorchers initially lost 4 wickets for 25 runs and started losing control over the match. Later, Laurie Evans and captain, Ashton Turner brought them back to the match. Evans played a devastating inning of 76 runs off 41 balls with 4 fours and 4 sixes. Turner also scored 54 off 35 balls. Steve O’Keefe and Nathan Lyon took two wickets each for the Sixers.
Batting for 172-runs, The Sixers were all out for just 92 runs in 16.2 overs due to the stellar bowling performance of the Scorchers’ bowlers. Fighting alone, Daniel Hughes scored the best 42 runs from 33 balls. Nicholas Bertus also scored 15 and Jay Lenton scored 10 runs for the Sixers. Andrew Tye took the maximum number of 3 wickets for the Scorchers. Jhye Richardson took two wickets and Jason Behrendorff, Turner, Peter, and Ashton Agar took one wicket each.
With this win, the Perth Scorchers have clinched the Big Bash League title for the 4th time almost five years later. Earlier, they had won the title in 2013-14, 2014-15, and 2016-17 seasons.
