Sunrisers Hyderabad has got a victory in the 40th match of IPL 2021 after losing 5 matches in a row. Sunrisers won by 7 wickets with 9 balls to spare against Rajasthan Royals at Dubai International Stadium on Monday.
After winning the toss, RR scored 164 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. For the team, Sanju Samson smashed 7 fours and 3 sixes to score the highest scoring innings of 82 runs from 57 balls. Besides, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 36 and Mahipal Lomror scored 29 runs. Siddarth Kaul took the maximum number of 2 wickets for Sunrisers.
Chasing a challenging target of 165 runs, Sunrisers reached the victory port in 18.3 overs losing 3 wickets. Jason Roy played an innings of 60 off 42 balls for the team. Also, Kane Williamson made 51 off 41 balls. Mahipal Lomror, Mustafizur Rahman, and Chetan Sakariya took one wicket each for RR.
The Sunrisers are still at the bottom of the points table after winning this match. On the other hand, the defeated side, RR is still in the 6th position in the points table.
