ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 – Match 20 (England vs Bangladesh)

In the 20th match of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021, England got a victory by 8 wickets with 35 balls to spare against Bangladesh at Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, the Tigers scored 124 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs in the bowling cannon of English bowlers.

Mushfiqur Rahim scored the best 29 runs for Bangladesh. Besides, captain Mahmudullah and Nasum Ahmed played two innings of 19 runs. Tymal Mills took the maximum number of 3 wickets for England. Again, Moeen Ali and Liam Livingstone took 2 wickets, and Chris Woakes took 1 wicket.

Chasing an easy target of 125, England lost just two wickets and reached the target in 14.1 overs. Opener Jason Roy played a devastating inning of 61 off 38 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes for the team. Besides, Jos Buttler scored 18 runs and Dawid Malan remained unbeaten on 28 runs. Shoriful Islam and Nasum Ahmed took one wicket each for the Tigers.

After winning this match, England has risen to the top of the points table of Group-1 with the 2nd consecutive victory in Super Twelve. On the other hand, Bangladesh is in the 5th position of the points table with the 2nd defeat in a row.

ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 – Match 21 (Scotland vs Namibia)

In the second match of the day, Namibia secured a triumph by 4 wickets with 5 balls to spare in a low-scoring match against Scotland at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. After losing the toss, Scotland managed to score 109 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs due to the brilliant bowling of Namibia’s bowlers. 

For Scotland, Michael Leask played the top-scoring innings of 44 off 27 balls. Chris Greaves scored 25 and Matthew Cross had 19 runs. Ruben Trumpelmann took the highest number of 3 wickets for Namibia. Jan Frylinck took two wickets, JJ Smit and David Wiese took one wicket each.

Chasing an easy target of 109, Namibia lost 6 wickets and reached the port of victory in 19.1 overs. JJ Smit played a great inning remaining unbeaten on 32 runs playing 23 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes for the team. Craig Williams scored 23 and Michael van Lingen 18 runs. Michael Leask took the most number of 2 wickets for Scotland.

After winning this match, Namibia is in 3rd place in the points table of Group-2 in Super Twelve. On the other hand, Scotland is at the bottom of the points table with their second defeat in a row.
