The Hobart Hurricanes have defeated the Adelaide Strikers by 7 wickets in the 22nd match of the BBL 2021/22 at the Blundstone Arena in Hobart, courtesy of Ben McDermott’s remarkable century. After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, the Strikers scored 175 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs.
Matt Renshaw played the top-scoring innings of 63 off 41 balls for the Strikers. Jake Weatherald also scored 51 off 43 balls. Riley Meredith took the maximum number of 3 wickets for the Hurricanes. Thomas Rogers and Nathan Ellis took 1 wicket each.
Chasing the target of 176 runs, the Hurricanes reached the port of victory by losing 3 wickets with 9 balls in hand. Opener Ben McDermott played devastating 110-run unbeaten innings off 60 balls with 12 fours and 5 sixes for the team. Besides, D’Arcy Short made 37 runs from 32 balls. BBL 2021/22 – Match 23 (Brisbane Heat vs Melbourne Stars)
In the 23rd match of BBL 2021/22, Melbourne Stars won by 20 runs against Brisbane Heat at the Gabba in Brisbane. After losing the toss and opting to bat first, the Stars lost 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs and scored a huge total of 207 runs.
For the Stars, Joe Clarke played a devastating inning of 85 off 44 balls with 7 fours and 5 sixes. Hilton Cartwright also played a stormy inning of 79 off 44 balls smashing 1 four and 8 sixes. Mark Steketee took the highest number of 3 wickets, James Bazley and Liam Guthrie took 2 wickets each, and Matthew Kuhnemann and Mujeeb Ur Rahman took 1 wicket each.

SA vs IND (1st Test – Day 2)
The first Test of the India-South Africa series at Centurion was interrupted by rain. That is why on the second day of the match not a single ball could be rolled on the field. The match referee was forced to cancel the second day’s play due to heavy rain.
At the end of the first day, India lost 3 wickets and scored 272 runs. KL Rahul is unbeaten on 122 runs, and Ajinkya Rahane is unbeaten on 40 runs. These batters were padded up all day but were not able to get on the field due to rain yesterday.
