The 5th day of the 1st Test between West Indies and Sri Lanka took place yesterday. Let’s have a look to know about the exciting moments of the game.

WI vs SL (1st Test – Day 5)

At the end of the fourth day of the Antigua Test, West Indies lost 1 wicket putting up 34 runs were 340 runs behind the target. They came to the field on the 5th day with Craig Brathwaite (8*) and Enkrumah Bonner (15*) at the crease. Kraigg Brathwaite (23) returned to the dressing room after being bowled by Lasith Embuldeniya while the team total was 78 runs. Kyle Mayers came on the wicket and tied the knot with Nkrumah Bonner then. Sri Lanka was knocked out of the match due to their partnership of 105 runs off 217 balls.

Before going to the tea break, Kyle Mayers picked up the first half-century of his Test career off 109 balls. After returning from the break, the batsman returned to the dressing room after losing his wicket to Lasith Embuldeniya. After a while, Nkrumah Bonner picked up the first century of his Test career by smashing a 4 off Vishwa Fernando. When the daylight was over, the umpire announced the match as drawn. In the end, Bonner remained unbeaten playing an innings of 113 off 274 balls hitting 13 fours and 1 six. All-rounder Jason Holder was unbeaten on 18 along with him. Lasith Embuldeniya and Vishwa Fernando took 2 wickets each for the visitors.

The last match of the 2-match Test series between West Indies and Sri Lanka has now turned into the final match by a draw in this match. The last and final Test match of the series will be held at the same venue from March 29.
