The Brisbane Heat has won by 39 runs against the Adelaide Strikers in the 18th match of the BBL 2021/22 at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide courtesy of Ben Duckett’s great innings. After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, the Heat lost 7 wickets in 20 overs and collected a big score of 208 runs.

Ben Duckett hit 10 fours and 2 sixes for the Heat and played a devastating inning of 78 runs off 47 balls. Sam Heazlett scored 49 off 30 balls and Max Bryant scored 32 off 20 balls. Rashid Khan took the most number of 3 wickets; Wes Agar and Peter Siddle took 1 wicket each for the Strikers.

Chasing the huge target of 209 runs, the innings of the Strikers stopped at 169 runs after losing 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs due to the bowling cannon of the Heat’s bowlers. Jonathan Wells is top-scored with 55 off 41 balls for the teams. Thomas Kelly and Matt Renshaw also played two innings of 27 and 22 runs respectively. Mark Steketee and Matthew Kuhnemann took the maximum number of 3 wickets each for the Heat, and James Bazley took 2 wickets.

After winning this match, the Brisbane Heat has risen to the 5th position in the points table. On the other hand, the Adelaide Strikers are 6th in the points table after losing.
