The Final match of the Road Safety World Series T20 2020-21 between India Legends & Sri Lanka Legends and the 1st day of the 1st Test between West Indies & Sri Lanka took place yesterday. Let’s have a look to know about the exciting moments of the matches.

In the final match of the series in Raipur, India Legends defeats Sri Lanka Legends by 14 runs by dint of Yusuf Pathan’s all-around skill and becomes the winners of the first edition of the Road Safety World Series.
Coming down to bat first after losing the toss, India Legends lost 2 wickets scoring 35 runs. Later, in the third wicket, captain Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh’s 53-run partnership put them back in the match. When Sachin Tendulkar (30) returned to the pavilion, Yusuf Pathan came to the wicket. He put on an 85-run stand with Yuvraj Singh for the fourth wicket, and their stormy batting gave India Legends a big score. Yuvraj Singh scored 60 off 41 balls, hitting 4 fours and 4 sixes. Yusuf Pathan smashed 4 fours and 5 sixes and remained unbeaten on 62, playing 36 balls to bring a big total of 181 runs for the team.
Captain Tillakaratne Dilshan made a decent opening pair of 62 runs, with Sanath Jayasuriya chasing this huge target. After that, these two batsmen returned to the dressing room in the whirl of Yusuf Pathan. By the time the Lankans lost 4 wickets for 29 runs and fell out of the match. After that, Chinthaka Jayasinghe and Kaushalya Weeraratne’s 64-run partnership for the fifth wicket brought them back in the match. But in the end, they could not take the crown of victory. Later, the innings of Sri Lanka Legends stopped at 14 runs away from the target. Sanath Jayasuriya played the best innings, scoring 43 runs from 35 balls with 5 fours and 1 six. Irfan Pathan and Yusuf Pathan were the most successful bowlers for India legends on the day taking two wickets each.

WI vs SL (1st Test – Day 1)
West Indies and Sri Lanka are playing in the first Test of the series from Sunday 21 March at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua. After losing the toss, the Sri Lankan batsmen fell under pressure by the invasive bowling of the Caribbean bowlers. The visitors lost their way in the aggressive bowling of 2 fast bowlers Jason Holder and Kemar Roach. The two Caribbean fast bowlers took 8 of the 10 wickets of the Lankans, and Rahkeem Cornwall took one.
Lahiru Thirimanne (70 off 180 balls) played the highest-run innings for the Lankans. Earlier, he picked up the seventh half-century of his career playing 129 balls. In the end, the visitors were all out for 169 runs in 69.4 overs because of Jason Holder’s great spell. Jason Holder (5-27, 17.4 overs), Kemar Roach (3-47, 16 overs) and Rahkeem Cornwall (1-25, 14 overs) were the wicket-takers for West Indies.
West Indies ended the first day’s game putting up 13 runs in 13 overs without losing a wicket in their first innings. Today, captain Kraigg Brathwaite (3*) and John Campbell (7*) will start the second day’s play being at the crease.
