BPL 2022 – Match 01 (Chattogram Challengers vs Fortune Barishal)
Fortune Barishal have won by 4 wickets against Chattogram Challengers at Shere Bangla National Stadium in the 1st match of BPL 2022. After losing the toss and batting first, the Challengers were able to score 125 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs due to the brilliant bowling of the fortune bowlers.
For the Challengers, Benny Howell played a maximum inning of 41 off 20 balls. Will Jacks scored 16 and Naeem Islam scored 15 runs. Alzarri Joseph took the maximum number of 3 wickets for the Fortune. Besides, Nayeem Hasan took 2 wickets.
Chasing an easy target of 126 runs, Fortune reached the victory port with 8 balls in hand losing 6 wickets. Shykat Ali played the highest innings of 39 runs from 35 balls with 1 four and 2 sixes for the team. Ziaur Rahman also scored 19 runs off 12 balls. Mehidy Hasan took the highest number of 4 wickets for the Challengers.
After winning this match, Fortune Barishal starts their tournament with a winning note. On the other hand, Chittagong Challengers will try to get their first points in the next game against Minister Group Dhaka today.

BPL 2022 – Match 02 (Khulna Tigers vs Minister Group Dhaka)
In the 2nd match of BPL 2022, Khulna Tigers have picked up a great victory of 5 wickets with 6 balls in hand against Minister Group Dhaka at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. After losing the toss and batting first, Minister Group lost 6 wickets in 20 overs and collected a big score of 183 runs.
Tamim Iqbal top-scored with 50 off 42 balls for the Minister Group. Mohammad Shahzad scored 42 and captain Mahmudullah played 39 run-innings. Kamrul Islam took the maximum number of 3 wickets for Tigers. Thisara Perera also took 1 wicket.
Chasing the target of 184 runs, the Tigers lost five wickets and reached the victory port in 19 overs. Rony Talukdar played a devastating inning of 61 off 42 balls with 7 fours and 1 six. Andre Fletcher (45 off 23 balls) and Thisara Perera (36 off 18 balls) were unbeaten in the journey to take the team to the victory. Andre Russell and Ebadot Hossain took 2 wickets each and Shuvagata Hom took 1 wicket each for the Minister Group.
Khulna Tigers are now in the 1st spot of the points table by winning this match. On the other hand, the Minister Group Dhaka is at the bottom of the points table after losing.

BBL 2021/22 – Eliminator (Adelaide Strikers vs Hobart Hurricanes)
The Adelaide Strikers have defeated the Hobart Hurricanes by 22 runs in the BBL 2021/22 Eliminator match at the MCG in Melbourne, courtesy of Matthew Short’s devastating innings. After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, the Strikers lost 6 wickets in 20 overs to collect a big score of 188 runs.
Matthew Short smashed 4 fours and 6 sixes and scored a magnificent 89 runs off 48 balls for the Strikers. Alex Carey also scored 67 runs off 45 balls. Thomas Rogers and Riley Meredith took two wickets each for the Hurricanes.
Coming down to chase the huge target of 189 runs, the Hurricanes were bowled out for 166 in 19.4 overs by the aggressive bowling of the strikers’ bowlers. D Arcy Short played the highest innings of 56 runs from 34 balls for the team. Caleb Jewell scored 35 and Tim David scored 21 runs as well. Peter Siddle took the maximum number of 4 wickets for the Strikers. Harry Conway and Henry Thornton also took two wickets each.
The Adelaide Strikers will face the Sydney Thunder in the Knockout match of the tournament after winning this match. On the other hand, this defeat leads the Hobart Hurricanes to get knocked out of the tournament remaining at the fifth spot in the points table.
