Kyle Jamieson broke the fourth wicket partnership of 61 runs between Kohli and Rahane at the beginning of the third day. He trapped Virat Kohli for a leg-before wicket, who scored 44 off 132 balls hitting one boundary. After that, Rishabh Pant came in the wicket but returned to the dressing room early scoring only 4 runs by Latham’s palate in the delivery of Jamieson. India lost the fifth wicket for 149 runs.
