Cricket Highlights, 20 Aug: WI vs PAK (WTC, 2nd Test– Day 1)

The 1st day of the 2nd Test between West Indies and Pakistan rolled on the field yesterday. Let’s have a glimpse at the article to know about the exciting happenings of the days’ game.

WI vs PAK (2nd Test – Day 1)

Hosts West Indies and Pakistan are playing against each other in the second and final Test at Jamaica’s Sabina Park. After losing the toss, Pakistan lost 4 wickets in 74 overs, scoring 212 runs and finishing the first day. Mohammad Rizwan (22*) and Fahim Ashraf (23*) are in the crease. They will both go down to bat on the second day.

Pakistan did not have a good start after batting first. Abid Ali (1) was dismissed by Kemar Roach when the team’s total was 2 runs. Then Azhar Ali (0) became the second victim of Roach. In the next over, Imran Butt (1) was caught behind the wicket off Jayden Seales.

After losing 3 wickets for just 2 runs, captain Babar Azam and Fawad Alam pulled Pakistan out of the batting disaster. On the fourth wicket, they made a pair of 158 runs. Fawad (76*) returned to the dressing room with a retired heart while the team total was standing on 160 runs.

After Roach dismissed Babar Azam, the Pakistan team collected 168 runs at that time. He made 75 runs off 174 with 13 boundaries. After that, Rizwan and Fahim spend the rest of the day together.
