WI vs ENG (2nd Test – Day 4)
Due to rain, the game couldn’t commence on time on the fourth day in Barbados. The Caribbeans scored 288 for 4 at the end of the third day, and they fought really hard all day, courtesy of captain Kraigg Brathwaite after coming down to the field with the previous day’s collection. Brathwaite, who came down to play with 109 runs, batted in a marathon-style for about eleven and a half hours and was dismissed after scoring 160 runs. He played 489 balls alone, where he hit 17 boundaries.
After Brathwaite’s departure, wicketkeeper Joshua Da Silva was holding into the pitch for a long time. He played 112 balls and scored 33 runs. In the end, the Caribbeans were all out for 411 in 187.5 overs. England’s Jack Leach took the highest number of 3 wickets, giving away 118 runs. Besides, Ben Stokes and Saqib Mahmood took 2 wickets each.
In reply, England batted 15 overs last afternoon and scored 40 runs. Alex Lees is unbeaten on 18, and Zak Crawley is unbeaten on 21. At the end of the day, England is still 136 runs ahead of the hosts.
