BBL 2021/22 – Match 56 (Melbourne Stars vs Hobart Hurricanes)

The Melbourne Stars have got a huge 106-run victory over the Hobart Hurricanes in the final match of the group stage of the BBL 2021/22 on Wednesday at the MCG in Melbourne, courtesy of a devastating inning by Glenn Maxwell. After losing the toss and opting to bat first, the Stars lost just two wickets in the allotted 20 overs and scored 273 runs.

For the Stars, Glenn Maxwell hit 22 fours and 4 sixes, he scored an unbeaten 154 runs off 64 balls. As a result, Maxwell now holds the record for the highest individual innings in the history of the BBL. In addition, two stormy innings were played by Marcus Stoinis (75* off 31 balls) and Joe Clarke (35 off 18 balls). Jordan Thompson and Josh Kann took one wicket each for the Hurricanes.
