In the 3rd match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021, Ireland won by 7 wickets with 29 balls to spare against the Netherlands courtesy of Curtis Campher’s double hat trick at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The Netherlands won the toss and elected to bat first. At the end of 9 overs, they lost 2 wickets and collected 50 runs.

But when the tenth over of their batting appeared, the Irish pacer Campher turned everything upside down. Colin Ackermann (11) was caught behind the wicket in the second ball of the over, while Ryan ten Doeschate became lbw in the next ball. Scott Edwards became lbw again in the next ball. Campher bowled Roelof van der Merwe with the next ball. The scoreboard of the Netherlands went from 51 for 2 to 51 for 6 in a blink of an eye.

Besides, the captain Pieter Seelaar scored 21 runs. Campher took the highest number of 4 wickets for Ireland. Mark Adair took 3 wickets and Joshua Little took 1 wicket each.
