SA vs BAN (1st ODI)
In the first match of the series, Bangladesh’s visiting side has picked up a historic 38-run victory over hosts South Africa at Centurion’s SuperSport Park. This is the first time the Tigers have won in any format against the hosts on South African soil. After losing the toss and batting first, Bangladesh lost 7 wickets in 50 overs and collected a big score of 314 runs.
Shakib Al Hasan played a devastating inning of 77 runs off 64 balls smashing 7 fours and 3 sixes for the Tigers. Besides, Yasir Ali and Liton Das played two effective innings of 50 runs. Earlier, captain Tamim Iqbal scored 41 runs. Keshav Maharaj and Marco Jansen took two wickets each for the Proteas. Kagiso Rabada, Andile Phehlukwayo, and Lungi Ngidi took one wicket each.
Coming down to chase the challenging target of 315, South Africa was bowled out for 276 in 48.5 overs by the aggressive bowling of the visiting bowlers. Rassie van der Dussen top-scored for the team with 86 runs off 98 balls. David Miller also played a stormy inning of 79 off 57 balls with 8 fours and 3 sixes. Captain Temba Bavuma scored 31 off 55 balls.
Mehidy Hasan took the maximum number of 4 wickets for Bangladesh. Besides, Taskin Ahmed picked up 3 wickets, Shoriful Islam got 2 wickets, and Mahmudullah took the last wicket for the team. After winning the match, the visitors went ahead 1-0 in the series.
The world’s best all-rounder Shakib-al-Hasan has been selected as the Player of the Match for his outstanding batting performance. The two teams will meet in the second match of the series on March 20 at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.

WI vs ENG (2nd Test – Day 3)
The Caribbean Test captain Kraigg Brathwaite and middle-order batsman, Jermaine Blackwood’s two centuries in the Bridgetown Test, helped West Indies get 288 for four at the end of the third day. However, the hosts are still 219 runs behind the visitors.
West Indies, who started the day with 71 runs for the loss of one wicket, lost Shamarh Brooks (39) and Nkrumah Bonner (9) in a short while. Then their score was 101 runs for 3 wickets. From there, Brathwaite and Blackwood made a big partnership of 183 runs. The Caribbeans could have been in a better position if they had not lost Blackwood’s wicket in the LBW trap at the end of the day.
Blackwood scored 102, which is the third Test century of his career, and England bowler Lawrence got his wicket afterwards. The right-handed batsman made this innings with 215 balls, he hit 11 fours to play this magnificent inning.
However, Brathwaite continues to fight on one side even after losing his partner. He is unbeaten on 109 for his tenth Test century. The Caribbean captain hit 12 boundaries in a patient 337-ball innings, and Nightwatchman Alzarri Joseph is batting along him with 4 runs.
