ENG vs IND (2nd Test – Day 2)

India lost 3 and collected 276 runs at the end of the first day on the field on the second day with KL Rahul and Ajinkya Rahane at the crease. But the visitors lost the last 7 wickets by adding only 86 runs in the English bowlers’ aggressive bowling. In the end, India was bowled out for 364 runs.

Rahul (129) returned to the pavilion after falling victim to Ollie Robinson in the second ball of the day. In the next over, James Anderson sent off Rahane (1) to the dressing room. Later, Ravindra Jadeja (40) and Rishabh Pant (37) tried to take the helm of the team but failed. 

James Anderson has taken 5 wickets conceding only 62 runs for England. Besides, Ollie Robinson and Mark Wood took 2 wickets each and Moeen Ali took 1 wicket.

Coming down to bat in their first innings, England lost two wickets in a row off Mohammed Siraj while the team total was 23 runs. From there, the team was led by opener Rory Burns and captain Joe Root. Burns returned to the dressing room scoring 49 runs, but Root finished the second day unbeaten on 47. Now, his partner is Johnny Bairstow (8*) on the wicket.

WI vs PAK (1st Test – Day 2)

Current captain Kraigg Brathwaite’s 97 and former captain Jason Holder’s 50-run innings helped the hosts to surpass Pakistan’s collection of 217 runs. At the end of the second day in Kingston, West Indies scored 251 runs losing 8 wickets. Their lead is now 34 runs.

On the second day on Friday, captain Brathwaite continued to lead the team firmly. But did not get proper company from the other side. After the departure of Roston Chase with 21 and Jermaine Blackwood with 22 runs, Kyle Mayers could not score any runs. As a result, the Caribbeans lost 5 wickets to get 100 runs.

From there, former and current captains Holder and Brathwaite put on 96 runs for the sixth wicket. Holder went back to the dressing room with the team collection nearby to two hundred. 58 runs from 10 fours came from his bat

Brathwaite raised the possibility of a century even though Holder returned. But in the 78th over of the innings, Brathwaite (97) got run out just 3 runs away from the tenth century of his career. In the end, wicketkeepers Joshua Da Silva (20) and Jomel Warrican (1) finished the second day remaining unbeaten on the day.
