In the last match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 Super 12, India has won by a huge margin of 9 wickets with 28 balls to spare against Namibia at the Dubai International Stadium. After losing the toss and opting to bat first, Namibia was able to score 132 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs due to the great bowling of India’s bowlers.
David Wiese top-scored for Namibia with 26 off 25 balls. Stephan Baard (21) and Jan Frylinck (15) also played two effective innings. Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin took the highest number of 3 wickets each for Men in Blue, Jasprit Bumrah took 2 wickets.
Chasing an easy target of 133, India lost just one wicket in 15.2 overs to reach the port of victory. For the team, Rohit Sharma played a devastating inning of 56 off 37 balls with 7 fours and 2 sixes. Besides, KL Rahul left the field with an unbeaten 54 off 36 balls and Suryakumar Yadav scored an unbeaten 25 off 19 balls. Jan Frylinck took 1 wicket for Namibia.
Despite winning this match, India exited the tournament remaining at 3rd place in the points table of Group 2 with 3rd consecutive victory in Super 12. Namibia, on the other hand, is out of the tournament remaining at 5th place in the points table with their 4th consecutive defeat.
