BPL 2022 – Match 23 (Chattogram Challengers vs Minister Group Dhaka)

In the 23rd match of BPL 2022 on Tuesday, Chattogram Challengers have picked up an incredible 3-run victory over Minister Group Dhaka thanks to the outstanding performances of Shamim Hossain and Mrittunjoy Chowdhury at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. Challengers lost the toss and elected to bat first. They lost 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs and collected 148 runs.

Shamim played a great inning of 52 runs off 37 balls with 5 fours and 1 six for the Challengers. Besides, captain Afif Hossain scored 27 off 24 balls and Will Jacks scored 26 off 24 balls for the team. Towards the end, Benny Howell left the field with an unbeaten 24-run innings off 19 balls. Mashrafe Mortaza, Arafat Sunny, and Mahmudullah took one wicket each for the Minister Group.

Chasing the challenging target of 149 runs, the Minister Group lost 6 wickets in 20 overs and their innings got stopped at 145 runs due to the impeccable bowling of the Challengers’ bowlers. In the last over, the Minister Group needed 9 runs to win and had 5 wickets in hand. Despite bowling a no-ball in the last ball of that over, Mrittunjoy picked up one wicket conceding only 5 runs with bowling brilliantly. The Challengers won the match thanks to his bowling.

Opener Tamim Iqbal top-scored with 73 off 56 balls with six fours and three sixes for the Minister Group. In addition, captain Mahmudullah scored 24 and Shuvagata Hom 22 runs for the team of the Capital city of Bangladesh. Mrittunjoy and Shoriful Islam took the highest number of 2 wickets each for the Challengers. Besides, Nasum Ahmed and Mehidy Hasan took one wicket each.

After winning this match, Chattogram Challengers have risen to 4th place in the points table. On the other hand, after losing, Minister Group Dhaka is now in the 5th position in the points table.

BPL 2022 – Match 24 (Sylhet Sunrisers vs Fortune Barishal)

On the same day, in the 24th match of BPL 2022, Fortune Barishal got a great victory of 12 runs against Sylhet Sunrisers with the all-around skill of Shakib Al Hasan at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. After losing the toss and batting first, Fortune lost 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs and collected a big score of 199 runs.

Chris Gayle scored the highest 52 runs off 45 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes for the Fortune remaining unbeaten. In addition, Munim Shahriar scored 51 off 28 balls and In the end, Dwayne Bravo remained unbeaten, playing a stormy innings of 34 off 13 balls. Earlier, Shakib returned to the pavilion after playing a devastating innings of 38 off 19 balls, smashing 2 fours and 4 sixes. Sohag Gazi, AKS Swadhin, and Alauddin Babu took the maximum number of 1 wicket each for the Sunrisers.
