The 19th match of the BPL 2022 between Sylhet Sunrisers and Fortune Barishal and the 20th match of the BPL 2022 between Comilla Victorians and Minister Group Dhaka washed away due to rain. Not a single ball could be played in the stated matches as a result of that. However, the cricket fans could enjoy the 11th match of the PSL 2022 between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings yesterday.

PSL 2022 – Match 11 (Karachi Kings vs Peshawar Zalmi)

In the 11th match of PSL 2022, Peshawar Zalmi got a great victory of 9 runs against Karachi Kings at the National Stadium in Karachi. After losing the toss and batting first, Zalmi scored 173 runs to lose 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

For the Zalmi, Shoaib Malik played a stormy inning of 52 runs off 28 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes remaining unbeaten. Besides, Hazratullah Zazai (41 off 27 balls) and Ben Cutting (24 off 22 balls) played two effective innings for the team. Umaid Asif took the highest number of 3 wickets for the Kings and Aamer Yamin took 1 wicket.

Chasing a challenging target of 174 runs, the Kings’ innings came to a halt at 164 after losing six wickets in the allotted 20 overs under the controlled bowling of Zalmi’s bowlers. Captain Babar Azam played the top-scoring innings of 90* runs off 63 balls with 12 fours and 1 six for the team. Ian Cockbain scored 31, and Amir Yamin scored 20 runs to get some needy runs for the cohort. Mohammad Umar scalped the maximum number of 3 wickets for the Zalmi. Besides, Shoaib Malik, Usman Qadir, and Hussain Talat took one wicket each.

After winning this match, Peshawar Zalmi has risen to the 4th position in the points table. On the other hand, Karachi Kings are at the bottom of the points table after losing four matches in a row, including this match.
