The 2nd T20I of the 5-match series between Bangladesh and Australia and the 1st day of the 1st Test between England and India rolled on the field yesterday. Let’s have a glimpse at the article to know about the interesting happenings of the games.
BAN vs AUS (2nd T20I)
In the second match of the series at the Shere Bangla National Stadium on Wednesday evening, Bangladesh won by 5 wickets against Australia with the help of two young batsmen Afif Hossain and Nurul Hasan Sohan. Afif Hossain became the player of the match because of his heroic performance.
After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, the Aussies could score 121 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. The visitors were under pressure from the beginning. They lost 2 wickets to make 32 runs in 6 overs of Power Play. Later, Australia could not increase the run-wheel due to the great bowling of the Tigers. As in the previous match, Mitchell Marsh (45) scored the highest run for the Aussies in this match as well. Mustafizur Rahman took the most wickets for Bangladesh (3-23, 4 overs). Shoriful Islam took 2 wickets, Shakib Al Hasan and Mahedi Hasan took 1 wicket each.
Bangladesh made a good start after batting for an easy target of 122 runs. But they lost 5 wickets to score 67 runs in 9.3 overs. From there, two young batsmen Afif and Nurul led the team to victory. With 8 balls left in the innings, the hosts reached the victory port without losing any more wickets in their great batting. Afif remained unbeaten on 37 off 31 balls hitting 5 fours and 1 six. Nurul scored an unbeaten 22 off 21 balls.
Bangladesh took a 2-0 lead in the five-match series by winning two matches in a row against Australia. The Tigers will take the field tomorrow with the hope of winning the series by a triumph in the third match.

ENG vs IND (1st Test – Day 1)
England was bowled out for 183 on the first day of the first Test of the series in Nottingham. In reply, India scored 21 runs without losing any wicket.
England won the toss and elected to bat. Rory Burns (0) returned to the dressing room after falling victim to Jasprit Bumrah in the 5th ball of the innings. England batsmen couldn’t manage to do well in the middle. With the exception of captain Joe Root, no batsman has crossed the 30-run mark. With 11 boundaries, Joe Root returned to the pavilion scoring a maximum of 64 off 108 balls after being lbw by Shardul Thakur. Jonny Bairstow scored 29, and Zak Crawley and Sam Curran both scored 27 runs.
Bumrah was the most successful bowler for India. The pacer took 4 wickets for 46 runs. Mohammed Shami took 3 wickets for 28 runs. Shardul took 2 wickets and Siraj took 1 wicket.
Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul spent 13 overs effortlessly in the last afternoon. India scored 21 runs for no loss. Rohit and Rahul are on the crease with 9 runs.
