IPL 2021 – Match 48 (Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Punjab Kings)
Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore has picked up a 6-run victory over the Punjab Kings at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the 48th match of the IPL 2021. RCB won the toss and elected to bat first, they lost 6 wickets in 20 overs and collected 164 runs.
Glenn Maxwell played a devastating inning of 57 from 33 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes for RCB. Besides, Devdutt Padikkal scored 40 off 38 balls and Virat Kohli scored 25 off 24 balls. Moises Henriques and Mohammed Shami took the maximum number of 3 wickets each for PBKS.
PBKS openers KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal got off to a great start as they came down to chase a challenging target of 165 runs. They picked up 91 runs in 10.4 overs. Agarwal played a stormy inning of 57 off 42 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes. Rahul scored 39 off 35 balls. When these two returned to the dressing room, no other batsman was able to take the helm of the team due to the aggressive bowling of the RCB’s bowlers.
In the end, losing 6 wickets, PBKS’s innings stopped 7 runs away from the target. Yuzvendra Chahal scalped the highest number of 3 wickets for RCB. Besides, George Garton and Shahbaz Ahmed took one wicket each.
After winning this match, RCB is still in 3rd place on the points table and qualified for the play-offs as well. On the other hand, after losing, PBKS is now in the 5th position in the points table.

IPL 2021 – Match 49 (Kolkata Knight Riders vs Sunrisers Hyderabad)
Kolkata Knight Riders have won the low-scoring match against Sunrisers Hyderabad by 6 wickets at the Dubai International Stadium. After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, the Sunrisers were able to score only 115 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs due to the great bowling of the bowlers of KKR.
Sunrisers captain Kane Williamson played the best-scoring innings of 26 off 21 balls for the SRH. Besides, Abdul Samad scored 25 runs and Priyam Garg scored 21 runs. Varun Chakaravarthy, Tim Southee, and Shivam Mavi took two wickets each for KKR. Besides, Shakib Al Hasan took 1 wicket conceding only 20 runs in 4 overs.
Chasing an easy target of 116 runs, KKR reached the victory port with 2 balls to spare and lost 4 wickets. For the team, Shubman Gill scored top with 57 off 51 balls. Besides, Nitish Rana scored 25 runs and Dinesh Karthik scored 18 runs remaining unbeaten. Jason Holder took the maximum number of 2 wickets for Sunrisers.
After winning this match, KKR has risen to the 4th position on the points table. On the other hand, the defeated Sunrisers are still at the bottom of the points table.
