In the 45th match of IPL 2021, Punjab Kings have a great victory by 5 wickets with 3 balls in hand against Kolkata Knight Riders at Dubai International Stadium. KKR was sent to bat first after losing the toss and scored 165 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs.

Venkatesh Iyer played the highest innings of 67 runs off 49 balls for KKR. Besides, Rahul Tripathi scored 34 and Nitish Rana 31 runs. Arshdeep Singh took the maximum number of 3 wickets for PBKS. Besides, Ravi Bishnoi took 2 wickets and Mohammed Shami took 1 wicket each.

Chasing a challenging target of 166 runs, PBKS reached the victory port in 19.3 overs losing 5 wickets. KL Rahul played the highest innings of 67 runs in 55 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes. Besides, Mayank Agarwal scored 40 off 27 balls and Shahrukh Khan scored 22 off 9 balls. Varun Chakaravarthy took the maximum number of 2 wickets for KKR.

After winning this match, PBKS is still in the 5th position in the points table. On the other hand, after being defeated, KKR is now in 4th position in the points table.
