BPL 2022 – Match 15 (Comilla Victorians vs Minister Group Dhaka)

In the 15th match of BPL 2022 on Tuesday at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram, courtesy of Mahmudullah’s great innings, the Minister Group Dhaka has picked up a massive victory by 50 runs against the undefeated Comilla Victorians. After losing the toss and getting to bat first, the Minister Group scored 181 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs.

Mahmudullah played the highest unbeaten 70-run innings off 41 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes for the Minister Group. In addition, opener Tamim Iqbal scored 46 off 35 balls, and Imran Uzzaman scored 15 off 14 balls. Tanvir Islam took the most number of 2 wickets for the Victorians.

Chasing a challenging target of 182 runs, the Victorians were bowled out for 131 in 17.3 overs by the excellent bowling performance of the Minister Group bowlers. Mahmudul Hasan Joy scored the highest 47 runs from 30 balls for the team. Also, captain Imrul Kayes scored 28, and Karim Janat scored 17 runs. Andre Russell took the maximum number of 3 wickets for the Minister Group. Besides, Qais Ahmad and Ebadot Hossain took 2 wickets, and Rubel Hossain took 1 wicket each.

After winning this match, Minister Group Dhaka has risen to 3rd place in the points table. On the other hand, Comilla Victorians are now in 2nd place in the points table after losing.

BPL 2022 – Match 16 (Chattogram Challengers vs Fortune Barishal)

In the 2nd match of Tuesday’s doubleheader in BPL 2022, Fortune Barishal got a great victory of 14 runs against Chattogram Challengers with the all-around skill of Shakib Al Hasan at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, the Fortune were bowled out for 149 in 19.1 overs by the aggressive bowling of the Challengers’ bowlers.

Shakib Al Hasan played a stormy inning of 50 off 31 balls with 3 fours and 3 sixes for the Fortune. Najmul Hossain Shanto (28) and Chris Gayle (25) also played two effective innings. Mrittunjoy Chowdhury took the maximum number of 4 wickets and Shoriful Islam took 2 wickets each for the Challengers.

Chasing the target of 150 runs, the Challengers were bowled out for 139 in 19.4 overs due to the great bowling action of the Fortune bowlers. Opener Afif Hossain played the highest innings of 39 runs from 32 balls. In addition, Shamim Hossain scored 29, and Mehidy Hasan scored 26 runs. Shakib and Mujeeb Ur Rahman took the maximum number of 3 wickets each for the Fortune. Dwayne Bravo and Mehedi Hasan Rana took 2 wickets each.

Fortune Barishal has risen to the top of the table by winning this match. On the other hand, Chattogram Challengers are in 4th place in the points table after a defeat in the match.

PSL 2022 – Match 8 (Islamabad United vs Multan Sultans)

The Multan Sultans have picked up a remarkable 20-run victory over Islamabad United in the 8th match of the PSL 2022 courtesy of Tim David’s devastating innings at the National Stadium in Karachi. After losing the toss and batting first, the Sultans lost 5 wickets in 20 overs and collected 217 runs.

Tim David top-scored with 71 off 29 balls hitting 6 fours and 6 sixes for the Sultans. Rilee Rossouw (67* off 35 balls) and Shan Masood (43 off 31 balls) also played two stormy innings. Mohammad Wasim Jr, Marchant de Lange, and Hasan Ali took one wicket for the United.

Chasing a big target of 218 runs, United’s innings came to a halt at 197 in 19.4 overs due to the outstanding bowling performance of the Sultans bowlers. Shadab Khan played the highest innings of 91 runs in 42 balls with 5 fours and 9 sixes. Alex Hales scored 23, and Paul Stirling scored 19 runs. Khushdil Shah scalped the maximum number of 4 wickets for the Sultans. David Willey also took 3 wickets.

The Multan Sultans hold the top spot in the points table after winning four matches in a row, including this one. On the other hand, Islamabad United is in 2nd position after the debacle.
