CAB is going to construct another stadium like Eden Gardens

The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) is going to construct a stadium in Rajarhat like Eden. Most of the state cricket bodies now have two stadiums each. CAB has been trying for a long time to construct another stadium like Eden Gardens. CAB also got land in Dumurjala. But due to some problems, it was not possible to construct a stadium there. This time, there is no problem to construct a stadium at the final place in Rajarhat.

CAB has bought about 14 acres of land for 30 crores. BCCI President Sourav Ganguly arrived in Eden on the same day. He had long discussions with CAB officials on various issues. Among them was the construction of a new stadium. However, even though the stadium space has been allotted, the documents have not yet reached the CAB. Construction work will start as soon as it comes to hand. All in all, Bengal is going to get another stadium like Eden.

Although there are tournaments like IPL and World Cup in Kolkata, Eden is the only stadium. However, in a city like Mumbai, there is more than one international standard stadium for this type of tournament. This time Kolkata is going to walk that path. The dream of implementation is going on in Rajarhat with the plan to construct more than one stadium.
