The T20 World Cup is going to be held in Australia next month. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the 15-members squad for the upcoming World Cup. But all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is not included in that team.
Jadeja could not play the entire Asia Cup due to injury. He is still sidelined with surgery on his right knee. Jasprit Bumrah and Hershel Patel were out of the field for so long due to injuries. However, after recovering from the injury, they will be seen in the upcoming T20 World Cup. Bumrah-Harshal is named in the 15-member team. They have already passed the fitness test.
Virat Kohli and Surya Kumar Yadav will play in the top order in captain Rohit Sharma’s team, Deepak Hooda in the middle order. Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik will be seen as wicketkeeper.
Mohammad Shami was not included in the Asia Cup. It was assumed that he will be in the main team of the World Cup. However, Mohammad Shami is in the reserve team even though he is not in the main team. Besides, Ravi Bishnoi got a place in the World Cup team for the first time.
This year’s T20 World Cup will begin on October 16 in Australia. Final will be held on November 13. This is the first time; Rohit Sharma will lead India in the World Cup. Lokesh Rahul is his co-captain.
