Yesterday (Thursday) Brisbane Heat and Melbourne Renegades met in the 3rd match of BBL 2022/23. Melbourne Renegades scored a narrowly trivial target in the scheduled 20 overs after batting first in that match. But in the 2nd innings, Brisbane Heat could not reach the target as the scheduled 20 overs ended and left the field with a loss. Also, Melbourne Renegades are at the 2nd place in the points table after winning the 1st match and Brisbane Heat are at the 7th place after losing the match. Besides, Nic Maddinson won the man of the match title for Melbourne Renegades due to his excellent batting.
After winning the toss, Brisbane Heat chose to bowl first and sent off the Melbourne Renegades to bat. Batting first, Nic Maddinson and Sam Harper started well. On the other hand, Andre Russell left the field after being caught out on the 1st ball of the 20th over. He scored 35 runs off 28 balls. Besides, Will Sutherland was unbeaten on 1 run and Tom Rogers was unbeaten on 5 runs. In the end, Melbourne Renegades lost 7 wickets with 8 extra runs and scored 166 runs.
