BCB signs a long term contract with DRS company

The lack of DRS in the early days of the BPL wasn’t less criticized. However, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has entered into a long-term contract with DRS Company. DRS will be available in all types of crickets in Bangladesh till 2027. And this is what BCB chief executive Nizam Uddin Chowdhury said.

DRS will be available in all matches of England series against Bangladesh. Nizam Uddin Chowdhury said, “Decision Review System (DRS) will be available in Bangladesh England series. Not only that, DRS will be available in all types of cricket in Bangladesh from now on. We have signed an agreement with DRS company till 2027. Accordingly, till 2027, in all kinds of international cricket and BPL, there will have DRS at the home ground of Bangladesh.”

The BCB CEO also said, “We are moving forward with a long-term plan. We have signed an agreement with those who directly provide the DRS service. There has been a lot of talk about DRS. Many things have come up which were not there before. Even when there was no DRS, the ICC event also held then. But now times have changed, after this technology came in it became mandatory for all ICC events.”

Nizam Uddin claimed that there was an attempt to bring this technology in BPL as well. But then it was not possible. He further said, “We tried to bring DRS in the entire domestic cricket competition. But then it was in the hand of the production team. But now we have moved away from that position. Now it is in our hands.”

Meanwhile, the discussion about the England series at home is now at the top. The former cricketers of the country are optimistic about the bilateral series against the Tigers. Most of the cricketers are in favor of Bangladesh winning the ODI series. Because Bangladesh is a strong enough team in this format. However, former cricketers are keeping England ahead in the T20 format.
