The Sri Lanka series will start in a few days. The Bangladesh team will start the training camp in Chattogram from tomorrow. Earlier, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hassan Papon discussed with the team coaches.

At the end of the South Africa series, the national team coaches went on holiday with their families. Domingo, Herath and Donald have already arrived in Dhaka ahead of the Sri Lanka series, and Siddons came earlier. Papon met with head coaches Russell Domingo, Rangana Herath, Allan Donald and Jamie Siddons at a five-star hotel in the capital on Sunday afternoon.

Although the series was discussed at the meeting, it is unknown exactly what was said. The BCB boss arrived at the meeting place around 12:30 pm. BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury, cricket operations committee chairman Jalal Yunus and BCB director Ismail Haider Mallick were present there at that time.

The Test series between the two teams will start in a week. Both series matches are included in the ICC Test Championship (2022-2023). Bangladesh is at the bottom of the points table of the Test Championship after the last series in South Africa. At today’s meeting, it may also be discussed the return to winning streams in the upcoming series.

The Sri Lankan team has already arrived in Dhaka. After an optional practice on May 9, the visitors will play a two-day warm-up match against the BCB XI on May 10 and 11. The first series test will start on May 15 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. The duo will meet in the second and final series Test at the Home of Cricket Mirpur on May 23. But will Bangladesh be able to get out of the circle of failure at home? Only time will tell.
