This year’s T20 World Cup will begin on October 16. Bangladesh Team Director Khaled Mahmud Sujan has expressed the hope that Bangladesh can become the champion in this World Cup. Although the matter is not easy at all, Sujan has confidence. He said these things while talking to journalists.

Sujan said, “Our aim is to improve in T20. We want to spread this format in the minds of boys. Many people underestimate us because of this format. We have the confidence to do well.”

Sujan also said that he himself is a positive person, so he always tries to stay positive. He said, “I am positive, so I always try to stay positive. I think we can become champions in the World Cup, although it will not be easy. Maybe it will take six months or a year.”

Before the T20 World Cup starts, the Tigers will play a tri-nation series in New Zealand. In this regard, Sujan also said, “ I want the batters to play with courage. We want to play aggressive cricket with freedom for this format. And while playing like that, the batter may get out on the first ball, although I don’t see any problem with that. We may not win 1-2 matches in the tri-nation series in New Zealand.”

It should be noted that this year’s T20 World Cup was supposed to be held in India in 2021. It was postponed due to the Corona attack. Therefore, the eighth edition of the tournament will be held in Australia this year. The final match is slated to be held on 13 November. This year’s World Cup will be held in 7 cities in Australia.
