Babar dethrones Rizwan

Mohammad Rizwan’s bat has been smiling since the start of the ongoing Asia Cup. He has led the team from the front with the bat in all Pakistan’s victories so far. This time he also got the benefit of that consistent performance. Rizwan topped the latest ICC T20 rankings.

And in this achievement, he surpassed his teammate Babar Azam. With Rizwan taking over the top spot, Babar dropped to second place in the batsmen’s rankings. In the Asia Cup in which Rizwan rose to the top, the Pakistani captain lost the top spot due to a poor performance.

Meanwhile, according to the latest ranking published by ICC, Rizwan’s rating point is 815! Thanks to that, this wicketkeeper has achieved the achievement of becoming the number one batsman in T20 as the third batsman of Pakistan. On the other hand, Babar’s current rating point has dropped to 794 after losing superiority to Rizwan.

It should be noted that Rizwan has scored a total of 212 runs in 4 matches so far in this year’s Asia Cup. Though went very close, he could not reach his half-century in his first match. However, in the next two matches against Hong Kong and India, this opener played important innings of 78 and 71 runs in two consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Australian pace star Josh Hazlewood is at the top of the bowlers’ ranking. It remains to be seen how long Rizwan can maintain his top spot.
