National team pace all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin has been out of the national team for several days due to injury. The right-handed all-rounder has been recovering from an injury since the T20 World Cup. Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), one of the best domestic cricket events, was missed due to injury. Saifuddin has finally returned to competitive cricket in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL). He was great with the ball in DPL.
The Bangladesh national cricket team is currently in Chattogram to play the first Test of a two-match Test series against Sri Lanka. On Saturday, Saifuddin was suddenly seen in Sagarika. Everyone is curious to see this all-rounder who appeared in a hurry.
But is Saif returning to the national team? Saifuddin returned to his hometown Feni two hours later from Chattogram after Donald’s call. Arriving there, the all-rounder spent a busy time in the gym.
Yet the curiosity remains. Saif himself has clarified that curiosity. Talking to a popular sports portal, he said that he came at the call of bowling coach Allan Donald.
Saifuddin said, ”Bowling coach Allan Donald called me. He has noticed my bowling in the Premier League. This time I finished the introduction part. Talked about bowling. There is a series against the West Indies ahead, that’s why the bowling coach wanted to see me. ”
The all-rounder is in the fourth position in the list of best wicket takers with 22 wickets in 14 matches in DPL. He is in first place among the local fast bowlers. Besides, Bangladesh will play a full series against the West Indies on their soil next June-July. Therefore, the team for the T20 series is scheduled to be declared by May 20.
That’s why Donald wanted to see him separately. This is Saifuddin’s first meeting with Donald, who joined the team from the South Africa series. Saifuddin, however, locked his mouth in the question of what the coach said after watching the bowling.
“We talk a lot with the coaches,” he said. “Shall I tell you all? But yes, a lot has been said. Call me, saw; That is the satisfaction. Maybe my bowling has drawn his attention.”
