Allan Donald wants speed and aggression from Taskin Ahmed

The Bangladesh cricket team got one day leave as the Test ended in St. Lucia in four days. So on that day, Russell Domingo, Allan Donald, and Jamie Siddons went to practice at Daren Sammy Stadium with the other 9 cricketers of the team. Tigers speed star Taskin Ahmed bowled in the net there. At the end of the bowling, the bowling coach called him aside and gave him suggestions. Besides, Taskin has also been seen taking some important tips from Donald. The formality of the three-match T20 series has started on this day.

Taskin was injured in South Africa. He came back after quite a long time after being recovered from that injury. So the bowling coach said that this time he has to hold two things on the field. That is – speed and aggression. At the end of the practice, he went to talk to the media about his conversation with Donald.

“I just came back from injury. What will be my role in the match, that is what the coach wanted to convey.” Taskin said. The coach commented that the kind of bowler he is, his role will always be to bowl fast and be aggressive. The coach added, “While doing so, you may give yourself a lot of runs. You will win the match alone again. But you will never leave your role.”

Tigers Test captain Shakib Al Hasan praised Taskin for the rise of pace bowlers at the end of the Antigua Test. While the issue was being raised, Taskin smiled and said, “Shakib Bhai’s words are a great inspiration for me. I will try to establish myself as a more mature bowler, to give something to the team.”

Despite losing the Tests, the Tigers pacer thinks the Tigers will not disappoint fans in the T20 and ODI series. Taskin’s goal is to gift the country victory. “Unfortunately, we did not do well in the Test series. We have to work to correct the mistakes. You can’t stay idle just with that. At the moment we are looking at the T20 series. We will try to give a victory to the country by playing well.”
