Bangladesh cricketer Al-Amin Hossain got anticipatory bail from the High Court in the case filed by his wife. The matter was confirmed by Al-Amin’s lawyer, Barrister Md. Ashraful Islam.
Israt Jahan, wife of Bangladesh national team cricketer Al-Amin Hossain filed a case for torture demanding dowry. According to the source of the case, Al-Amin demanded a dowry of Tk 2 million.
He physically and mentally tortured his wife for failing to pay the money. Not only that, wife Israt Jahan has also complained that she was thrown out of the house along with the children. A case was filed in this regard at Mirpur Model Police Station last Thursday and it was registered on Friday.
Al-Amin was not found for several days after filing the case. Then this pacer applied to the court seeking bail. The court granted his application on September 6. Justice Md. Rezaul Hasan and Justice Md. Atabullah’s High Court bench granted him anticipatory bail for 8 weeks.
Before this, wife Israt Jahan also made a human chain in front of the BCB building. Appealed to Prime Minister and BCB for fair trial through media.
It should be noted that the Bangladesh Cricket Board has accused him of breaching discipline many times before. For this reason, many people think that he is not called to the national team. In 2015 World Cup, he was sent back to the country due to the violation of team’s discipline.
