Glenn Maxwell (9 credits)
For almost all of the Kings XI Punjab matches, we have excluded Glenn Maxwell, and his performance have justified his exclusion. With just 41 runs in five matches, Glenn Maxwell has been hugely disappointing this season.
Shockingly, his strike-rate doesn’t even hit 100. He wasted a lot of opportunities and just didn’t look in the zone. Picking him is way too dangerous. There are a number of high credit players in this match and thus we can keep Glenn Maxwell out of the picture.
Nicholas Pooran (9 credits)
The exclusion of Nicholas Pooran is solely based on fantasy tactics. In five matches, Nicholas Pooran has scored 119 runs and seems to be coming into form. This match, however, already has way too many batsmen who are in decent form and can not be left out.
His credit requirement of 9 isn’t too low. In addition, in T20 cricket, he has a miserable record against Rashid Khan, having scored only 13 runs in 23 balls against him, falling prey once.
This match-up is definitely going to be used by the shrewd David Warner. So while Nicholas Pooran didn’t perform too badly, he didn’t do too excellent either for us to have him on our Dream11 team. Thus, you should exclude him.
Sheldon Cottrell (8.5 credits)
Sheldon Cottrell didn’t do too badly. In five matches, he picked up 6 wickets. But he is up against the likes of Jonny Bairstow and David Warner, for whom his pace could be way too friendly, and they have the capacity to line him up.
When put under pressure, Sheldon Cottrell has shown a tendency to lose his line and length, and so we can leave out the fast left-arm bowler in this match.
