This season, Sunil Narine has failed to do anything impactful. As an opener, he has failed and was able to pick up just 3 wickets in five matches. He has failed when playing against good pacers and with Rahul Tripathi nailing his spot as an opener, there is a lot of uncertainty about where he is going to bat.

With the ball, he may have a respectable economy of 8.33 this season, but he’s no longer the wicket-taker he used to be. Therefore, you should look to include other all-rounders with not too many chances of getting points from Sunil Narine.

Sheldon Cottrell (8.5 credits)
Kings XI Punjab bought Sheldon Cottrell with some huge bucks in the auction, but it was a massive disappointment. While he started off well, picking four wickets in his first two matches, batsmen seemed to be comfortable facing him.

He has gone for more than 10 runs an over in the last two matches against Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad and hasn’t picked a single wicket. Kolkata Knight Riders has many power hitters in their strong batting line up, wouldn’t find the pace or bounce of Sheldon Cottrell challenging. In this match, there is a high likelihood that he will be taken to the cleaners. You should, therefore, keep him out of your Dream11 team.

Dinesh Karthik (8.5 credits)
Kolkata Knight Riders‘s skipper, Dinesh Karthik, has so far had an extremely underwhelming IPL. He just couldn’t define his position in this squad. He appears to be in two minds as to where exactly he should bat.

The indecision didn’t help him and, despite playing 48 balls, he managed only 49 runs this season. In addition, in his last four matches, he has only scored 18. Dinesh Karthik looks badly out of form, and you should not consider getting him in your Dream11 team, with a range of wicket-keeping options available for this match.
