IPL 2025, Match 18: Punjab Kings vs Rajasthan Royals Match Preview

The time has come for Super Saturday, and the second game of the day will be played between the Punjab Kings (PBKS) and the Rajasthan Royals (RR). The match will be taking place on April 5 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, Chandigarh.

This will be the first home game for the PBKS franchise under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer, and they have so far given some incredible performances this season. The franchise has already won their first two games of the season and now will look forward to starting well at their home ground as well. It will be interesting to see if the team can keep their winning streak alive in the upcoming game at a venue which has so far only hosted five games in the IPL, which were all played last season. This will be another big challenge for the team going into the match.

RR, on the other hand, have had a slow start to the season under the leadership of Riyan Parag where they have won only one game out of the three they have played. Though they will be happy after finally getting a win against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and the fact that Sanju Samson will be back to leading the side, there will still be a lot of factors they will want to improve in their season so far.

Though there are some instances where the spinners got some assistance on the ground the short dimensions barely help the bowlers as the batters have a lot of freedom to play their shots. Overall, it could be interesting to see how the wicket will react on the day.
