Since launching his YouTube channel, former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan has quickly secured a strong following, crossing 100,000 subscribers within just six days. The following shows the love cricket fans have for the former all-rounder. 

On Saturday, March 22, Pathan announced the launch of his YouTube channel, calling his new show ‘Seedhi Baat with Irfan Pathan’. The show is designed to bring unfiltered discussions about cricket, giving fans in-depth analysis and insights. His channel received success from the very beginning, as he gained over 1,000 subscribers within hours of its launch. The former took to social media to share the achievement of 100,000 YouTube subscribers.

“We hit 100K on YouTube in no time — truly grateful for all the love and support,” he posted.

Pathan on his YouTube channel, gave his prediction about the four teams he believes will qualify for the IPL 2025 playoffs. Surprisingly, he left out defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and last season’s runners-up Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Instead, he backed Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Mumbai Indians (MI), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), and Delhi Capitals (DC) to make it to the playoffs.

Notably, last month, he played an important role in India Masters’ victory in the inaugural International Masters League (IML). In the tournament, he scored 113 runs in five innings at a strike rate of 185.24, including a half-century against Sri Lanka Masters. With the ball, he took six wickets at an economy of 10.33.

The 40-year-old was instrumental in many of India’s victories, including his match-winning performance in the 2007 T20 World Cup final against Pakistan, where he was adjudged the Player of the Match. He was also part of India’s victorious 2013 Champions Trophy squad. Over his career, he featured in 29 Tests, 120 ODIs, and 24 T20Is.
