Delhi Capitals won a rollercoaster of a game in IPL 2025 against Lucknow Super Giants in Visakhapatnam on March 24. LSG were in control for most parts of the game. However, it was not to be for Rishabh Pant against his former franchise.
A couple of rapid 70s from Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran paved the way for a strong finish in the latter half of the innings. However, a mini-collapse at the end of LSG’s innings meant they ended up with 209/8. Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel were the pick of the bowlers, conceding only 38 runs in their collective seven-over effort.
As for the second innings, it seemed all but done for DC after they lost a couple of wickets in the first over and three more by the seventh over to be reduced to 65/5. However, a blinder from Ashutosh Sharma (66* off 31) took DC over the finish line in a truly remarkable effort by Ashutosh. Debutant spin-bowling all-rounder, Vipraj Nigam, also chipped in with an invaluable 15-ball 39 to share a precious partnership with Ashutosh.
