His ability to swing the ball and take early wickets in the powerplay makes him an ideal candidate to play at Wankhede. He can partner with Trent Boult to open the bowling, which allows Jasprit Bumrah to focus on the middle and death overs. 

1. Trent Boult – ₹12.50 crores

This will be a great homecoming for Trent Boult after being let go by the franchise before the previous mega auction. Boult was a crucial part of the team that won the title in 2020. Along with Bumrah, he formed a lethal bowling attack for the Men in Blue and Gold. Now that he is back in the squad, he can be a big asset to the team and win them matches.
